These Terms of Service govern the use of getmenu.online / GetMenu Online, a technology platform for online restaurant menus, table ordering, takeaway ordering and related restaurant account services.
GetMenu provides software and technical infrastructure. GetMenu is not the seller of food, drinks or restaurant services ordered through the platform.
For food orders, the sales contract is between the end customer and the selected restaurant. The restaurant is responsible for preparing, serving, handing out and otherwise fulfilling the order.
Restaurants and business customers are responsible for all information and content they publish or manage in GetMenu.
Customers may place orders as guests or, where available, as logged-in users. The customer must provide correct name, email address, phone number, order details and table or pickup information.
Table orders are sent to the selected restaurant and table number entered by the customer or provided through the ordering flow.
The restaurant remains responsible for serving the table, preparing the order, handling questions and resolving any issues. GetMenu only provides the technical ordering system.
Takeaway orders are placed with the selected restaurant. The customer is responsible for collecting the order at the correct restaurant and at the agreed or estimated time.
If the customer does not collect the order, a refund may be refused depending on the restaurant's policy, the status of preparation and applicable law.
GetMenu may charge the end customer a service fee for use of the online ordering platform. The current standard fee is 5 NOK where configured, and the actual fee must be shown before payment.
The service fee covers technical platform use, payment flow and order infrastructure. If an order is refunded, the service fee may be included in the refund where supported by the current technical flow or required by law; otherwise it may be non-refundable where legally allowed.
Payments are processed by Stripe or the current payment provider. GetMenu does not store payment card details.
For online paid food orders, the current implementation may authorize the payment at checkout and capture it only after the restaurant accepts the order. If the restaurant rejects or cancels an order before capture, the authorization may be cancelled instead of captured.
Payment provider availability, card acceptance, authentication and settlement are subject to the provider's technical and legal requirements.
Refunds for food orders are handled by the restaurant. The restaurant decides whether to refund, partially refund or reject a refund request, subject to applicable law.
GetMenu may assist technically by enabling cancellation, payment cancellation or refund processing through the current payment provider, but GetMenu is not responsible for the restaurant's refund decision.
Customers should contact the restaurant first for questions about food quality, missing items, cancellation or refunds. GetMenu support may be contacted for technical issues with the platform.
The restaurant is responsible for allergen, ingredient and food information. Photos may be illustrative and may not exactly match the served dish.
Customers with allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements should contact the restaurant directly before ordering. GetMenu does not independently verify allergen or ingredient data.
Restaurant access to GetMenu may be subscription-based. Active subscription or payment status may be required for account access, public menu visibility or ordering functionality.
GetMenu is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GetMenu is not liable for lost profits, restaurant operational failures, internet outages, hosting provider downtime, payment provider downtime, third-party errors, incorrect restaurant content or losses caused by improper use of the platform.
GetMenu owns or licenses the software, user interface, design, workflows and technical platform.
Restaurants remain responsible for their uploaded content and grant GetMenu the right to host, process, display and transmit that content as necessary to provide the service.
We may update these terms when the service, legal requirements or business model changes. The current version will be available in the app or on getmenu.online.
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Mandatory consumer protection and EEA data protection rules apply where they cannot be waived by agreement.
